Hi, I'm writing a password protetction app. It uses the ata security commands. On plugin of the usb mass storage hdd, the hdd is locked and contains no partition/no data at all. After sending the correct password, the partition can be read. However, the diskarbitration doesn't notice this. diskutil unmount/mount does not help. - How can I force a partition table re-read?or- How can I force diskarbitration to probe the hdd again?or- How can I simulate a usb unplug/plugin?or- Something else to notify diskarbitration/finder to mount the hdd?
