Your instinct is, fortunately, wrong in this case. >From ><http://developer.apple.com/documentation/Darwin/Conceptual/64bitPorting/building/chapter_5_section_4.html>: "To prevent new 64-bit executables from running as 64-bit on version 10.4, Apple changed the CPU subtype for 64-bit executables that depend on high-level frameworks." That is, if the 64-bit slices of your application depend on Cocoa, they will be ignored on Tiger and earlier.
