Yes, it's Leopard-only. I was going to put off signing until I got further along in development. I guess I'm going to have to dig into that now.
I believe that the System keychain is readable by any admin, and any admin on your Mac could retrieve the data in the keychain item. Personally I'd have security questions about that, but it depends on your application whether it is a concern.
