Dear Jamie, I am also just starting learning Cocoa and Core Data and coming from the C#/NET group I find also find it frustrating and than very elegant at the same time - I believe the frustrating part will just disappear with time to get used to it all. I just looked at your posted source code and I could make search work after disabling the Search Predicate Binding for the Search Field and defining the Search Predicate Binding on the Search Field Cell (click 2-times on the NSSearchField). Don“t ask me why (yet) I need to click two times...:)
