As pointed out by Jean-Daniel Dupas, the Control+Command+left/right arrow keys can be used to move between tabs once selected. Additionally, you can also use Control+Command+Up/Down arrow keys to navigate up and down the view hierarchy.
For example, to select a tab in your tabless view, you can select one of its subviews and press Control-Command-Up or, conversely, select the tab view's superview and press Control-Command-Down. As you can imagine, extremely complex view hierarchies (including splitviews, scrollviews, matrices and their child, sibling and parent views) can be navigated using these 4 key combinations.
