Rob, thanks for your response and the pointers. I made those changes and aside from the change to -mouseDragged: it doesn't do anything different for me. When I build and run my app, it fills both the window and my custom view with blueand if I click outside my view, the oval draws on the window and below my custom view if I drag over it. Any thoughts on why this is?
