cockpit-ws is an independent implementation of a web server. We can't just use
a standard one like nginx, as it does a lot of cockpit specific things
(authentication, PAM session creation, web socket, bridge connection).

Yes, of course -- I mentioned that below as "getting a proper cert". E.g. we
