My Standard Horizon fixed mount VHF has developed a "burnt" spot on the display. Still fully functional but just looks bad. I really don't want to buy a new one and have to deal with compatibility issues with the RAM mike, etc. Mine has AIS so an equivalent replacement bumps $400.
I've tried to contact the Standard Horizon repair department but that, so far, hasn't been productive. I found one site by Googling "marine radio repair" but the date on that site was 2006. Has anyone got a lead on a decent marine radio repair service? -- Dennis C. Touche' 35-1 #83 Mandeville, LA
