I winterize our air conditioner the same way as the engine, using pink stuff
for RVs. But I wonder if there is any chemical to pump through to clean the
inside of the hoses and tubing and air conditioner's heat exchanger?
Something to dissolve any scum or scale, improve efficiency, extend the life.
I used "RydLyme" on my engine's heat exchanger last year. Followed the
directions and soaked the thing in a bucket overnight and the difference was
amazing.
To do the AC, I think I would fill a bucket full of chemical and
reroute the inlet and outlet hoses so the pump pulls from the bucket and
returns it back into it. Never cleaned the unit in six years.
