We have owned Corvette #149 for over 25 years. They are a great little boat
for a couple. The 3'-6" draught with the board up opens up a lot of
cruising options. However, the full keel does reduce manoeverability and
builds up some weather helm on a reach. Only the fore and side decks are
cored, so wet core is not an extensive problem, though it should be watched
for. The chain plate instalation should also be examined since the plywood
knees can absorb water. All Corvettes were built with Atomic Fours which
are a great little engine when well maintained, which some have not been
over the years. On the whole, she has been a great boat for us for a long
time.
