Tom, Similarly I moved from Rochester, NY to Saco, ME last summer and had the move/sell debate. We love our 1980 C&C34! Although much of the electronics are original, removed the LORAN in 2021 when I bought it, she is a boat we know. So we decided to move her. As soon as the kids get out of school we are motoring down the Barge Canal, restepping in Albany, anchoring at the Statue of Liberty, and sailing Long Island Sound up the coast.
We (maybe only me in my family) seriously considered going down the St Lawrence around Gaspe and Cape Breton but decided it was too long, too risky, too rough of a journey. I think it’s an opportunity for you to go on an adventure!
