Is the lack of availability because of the Mattapoisett Boat Yard fire a couple weeks ago? (I saw it on Boneheader Boaters of the Week, a great YouTube channel!)
I moved to southern Maine this summer and there are no slips or moorings. Most places estimate a 2 year waiting list. Portland Yacht Club is over 7 years wait, estimated. My C&C34 is still back in Sodus, NY. At least here for winter storage it is common to just plop the boat down in your own driveway. Using not-too-rusty jackstands, of course.
