Bob, There is really no way to answer that as much depends on how fast your boat sails in various win conditions. For example, in heavier breeze, you can sail almost directly downwind. In light air, you’ll want to sail higher to maximize your speed. The key is to keep an eye on your VMG as you race. And don’t be afraid to gybe multiple times.
