I suppose the Finn is a great boat to sail. Do you have some experience with Finns?
I started with a Sunfish but didn't like having to find someone to help me lift it onto my car's roof racks as she's too heavy for one person. I later got a 22' sloop that I kept in a boatslip. Then I got into windsurfing and enjoyed the portability of a board that weighs under twenty pounds. Sold the sloop and started exploring different beaches with our windsurfers. After fifteen years, I got our C&C 34R and got back into "sitdown" sailing. Initially we cruised her, then I raced with crew and more recently I set her up to singlehand and cruise and race her that way. She's a lot of fun.
