Dean, That would depend on where the Y connection is located — If it is after the vented loop, then you should be all right. Otherwise whatever gets pumped out of one pump will likely flow back through the other one.
If you are going to put the Y closer to the pumps, you should install check valves so flow only goes one way. However, check the specifications on your pumps as some do not recommend using a check valve. All the best, Edd Edd M.
