Hello all, So let me ask a question on this issue. I found that vinegar is just not strong enough to fix the calcium buildup in the head. I tried a mixture of 10% muriatic acid cut through it quickly, and the last year or two I have taken to flushing some through the headand directly overboard. It freed up some stickiness in our Jabsco head pump, and after 3 or so years the Jabsco replacement pump continues to work like new.
