No way it was antimony. That is an alloying metal. They use it in keels to give it a little more strength than pure Lead. Most likely it was stainless, and could have chewed up the threads in the turnbuckle barrel. Stainless on stainless should be lubed with Tefgel, stainless with bronze Tefgel is fine, (thaty what I use) but probably any water resistant Grease works.
