You don’t even need a soft shackle. I made a number of dyneema loops and loop them through themselves to create loop attachment points at the toenail. I use them for both docking attachment with a carabiner or genoa twing lines with a snatch block. For docking, I added a carabiner to the center of a long line and attach that to dyneema loop for front and rear springs. The loops were really easy to make even for a novice splicer like me, but cheap to buy as well (https://www.defender.com/product.jsp?id=1254184). Dave
