Hi Dwight, I think Italy got faster, during the time America needed to repair their boat plus I think America tweaked some things on their boat that complicated their performance and reversed the progress they had made. It's a shame they didn't win one race.
The bigger story that I'm hoping will come out regards the help America got from the Italians and New Zealanders that prevented the sinking and the repairs. New Zealand laminated the big panel for them. What great sportsmanship.
