I agree.! Had an accidental jibe on a star boat 45 some years ago. Watched the top of the mast curl forward in horror and come down. That was it for me. Decided I would never again have a boat with running backs. Next step was a simple Soling. Although, now that I think about it I do own a half a star again. But I never use it. It's just basically my buddy's boat.
