Hi David Most likely caused by heat of the solar panels. Replaced our original hatch when it broke (don’t ask how J) with new from Laird Plastics in Warwick RI. 401-732-0415 Took the old to them, they fabricated new with exact duplication of holes for re install teak pieces while we had lunch, picked it up and returned home.
