It was my observation that the C&C 34 was a fairly tender boat and therefore could benefit from more weight on the keel. The Dellenbaugh stability diagram tends to agree with my observation. It is a fairly tender boat and those i know of with added keel shoes really benefitted going to weather in winds above 15 kts apparent.
