I have had the same sliding hatch leaks. Those ‘tracks’ indeed hold water in that cavity outboard. If they are gone, the water can overflow that much easier. I actually added height to the sliding tracks with a strip of wood. Also my boat was floating bow down so that cavity forward of the hatch opening collected water but wouldn’t drain aft into the cockpit. I moved my anchor and chain out of the anchor locker to under the cockpit to change the fore-and-aft trim to help. Rob Ball. C&C 34
