Hello all,
A couple months ago, I installed 380 watts of solar power with a MPPT charge
controller.  The solar controller is Renogy Rover 40 AMP unit.  I also have a
couple "smart chargers", one for each bank, both of them are ProMariner
ProSport models.

Both the chargers and the MPPT controller have battery equalization modes, and
I don't think there is a way to get the ProSport charger to NOT go into
equalization mode unless I change it to Gel Cell mode, which is not appropriate
for my flooded lead acid batteries.  There is also no real information in the
manual as to the equalization parameters of the ProSport charger.

So until I can find a way to program the MPPT controller (which is currenly a
challenge due to issues regarding getting the appropriate cable to connect it
to my PC), how big a deal is it that I would end up with two equalization
cycles happening per month?
Thanks!
