The device has two discs like on the PSS, but uses a mechanical spring to maintain pressure between the two.  It has both a bellows and a gasket to keep out water.  If either fails, the redundancy of the other will keep the boat dry.

I inquired about pricing a year or so ago, and was told it was around $500.

As well as I can tell, this company mostly makes seals for commercial and military ships.  They seem to ignore the recreational market, which makes one wonder why they are even making products for boats like ours.
