Non-C&C’ers?? Who wants those types? Yesterday, I was on a corporate event on the San Diego Bay and we powered past the area’s biggest regatta event of the year that attracts over a hundred participants and uses a staggered start system so that it’s boat-for-boat at the finish.
I was enjoying the view final leg of the competition, along with an attorney from my group who is a J109 owner/racer in the Chicago area. We saw a J109, a few J105s, a couple of J100s and several other makes/models. I saw a Baltic, but not one C&C. He said, “I sure see a lot of J-boats out here, Edd.” My reply: “That’s because all the C&C’s have already finished.” All the best, Edd ———————————————- Edd M. I can see that there are a few boats scattered all over the state and a rendezvous might get 3-5 participants. My suggestion would be to have a dry-land rendezvous at a central location. That way, people from way down south, the Atlantic coast, the Gulf coast and other areas could attend. Might even get some non-C&Cers. Make it a weekend thing if you want. How about Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville in Orlando? Laird _______________________________________________ Thanks everyone for supporting this list with your contributions.
