Boats were not designed to sit on jack stands. They were designed for their weight to be supported evenly in the water. Some boats can experience deformations. Usually manifests with doors and hatches not closing proper. It can also present when sighting the hull. A reasonable surveyor should be able to detect problems, especially if they are on guard for the signs.
