Have just re joined the list, to help with the cabin fever this Winter.
Great to read about things sailing at this time of year when ice & snow cover
the land.
Our boat is a 1978 34, that we've been enjoying for a little over 30 years now
on Lake Ontario.
No major problems EVER, not even paint, just regular maintenance.
We've kept her simple, pretty much as per original, no big "upgrades" to date.
My pre-launch list this year includes a new hose for the stuffing box, a new
Cutlass bearing, and an engine re-alignment.Pretty regular stuff. I pulled the
prop shaft at haulout. had it checked at a machine shop, and it's perfectly
true.
Also looking for a good used cruising main......wondering if any of you might
have a recently retired sail you'd be willing to part with for a reasonable
price?
