Mike, Around two years ago, I decided to stop racing the Enterprise and found incredible joy in racing O.P.B.! (Other People’s Boats).
No longer do I worry about having enough crew on any given day or night — And, even better, when something breaks when racing someone else’s boat, if you listen real carefully, you can actually hear the little spartan guy on my American Express card sigh in relief. https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-6vJxnAOVZ8s/V-P1ypFSPxI/AAAAAAAACeU/ICFf4XvuVYY3pX_4TEQCeO5ICo7lsSILgCLcB/s1600/whew.jpg <https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-6vJxnAOVZ8s/V-P1ypFSPxI/AAAAAAAACeU/ICFf4XvuVYY3pX_4TEQCeO5ICo7lsSILgCLcB/s1600/whew.jpg> And, yeah, I get to have more batteries, water, a bimini, lounge chairs, pillows, a stack pack and lots of other cruising comforts that can just live on board. It was fun racing the boat, but this is way better. All the best, Edd Edd M. I have occasionally snuck a gallon or two of water in the tanks for washing up but that is about all I am allowed to get away with. Am constantly putting stuff on for weekends (dodger, BBQ, bimini, RF jib, water) and then taking back off on Wednesdays … Mike From: CnC-List [mailto:cnc-list-boun...@cnc-list.com <mailto:cnc-list-boun...@cnc-list.com>] On Behalf Of Edd Schillay via CnC-List Sent: Wednesday, November 21, 2018 2:09 PM To: Frederick G Street via CnC-List Cc: Edd Schillay Subject: Re: Stus-List Etnerprise - was chartplotter Mike, It’s quite amazing. When I’m not using the plotter, it easily unhooks and gets locked inside the cabin (and off the boat completely during the winter). I just used a simple rail clamp and some wire looms.
