Have used iPad, lifeproof case, ram mount at helm and chart table. iNavx, isailor, navionics.
Cheapest and my next iteration will probably be android tablet and isailor or opencpn My helm is under a Bimini and brightness isn’t an issue. Sailing casually in Lake Ontario so navigation not as critical as for others Biggest issue to me is lack of integration with Ray marine autopilot, and weatherproof charging at helm. Also, wifi requires reset on rare occasions.
