Thanks, Don. Additions to my entry:

Our boat is a "C&C 42 Custom." As it was explained to me, the word "Custom" means that it was built in the "custom shop," which was not the main C&C facility in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Also, it was not a "production run" boat, and only a few were made. I was told that six 42 Customs were built. I have hull number 6.

Also, the name is Second Wind (sorry for not being more clever); sail number US 20819; berthed in Erie, PA (Lake Erie); docked at the Erie Yacht Club; and I've been sailing for about 50 years, give or take.

Subject: Re: Stus-List Rob - C&C long time question

Being retired, and having a rainy day I put together a spread sheet
(attached) from the replies to Jack's request. Please let me know by
email, if you want to be removed or want to make corrections to the
list. Rhis is a shorten list that does not include the second and third
boats that folks have owned.

I will send out an update as soon as the replies peter out.

ps: What part of the C&C serial number is the hull number, the last
three digits?

Best regards,
Don Kern
