Chuck, we primarily use our slightly heavier #2 for the Great Lakes and furl as necessary (above 20-25 kms). Believe it’s a 144% sail. A # 3 I find too small and a # 1 too big. FWIW She will carry lots of sail but the #2 seems like a good balance even when sailing short handed. Congratulations you will love it.
