Hi Edd,
     You should hear the compressor shortly after you power up.  It's not
hard to hear.  If your unit is Frigiboat, I have a tag on my unit that
tells me what the LEDs mean.  Let me know and I will get you the info if it
is Frigiboat.  I would spend a little time diagnosing.  It may just be low
on refrigerant.  Also, if you short the thermostat out, the compressor
should start.  If it does start, then there is something wrong with the
thermostat.
