The Weekend Sailor is an award winning documentary about the unexpected victory of a Mexican yacht in the first crewed sailing race around the world in 1974. This was the first edition of the race now known as the Volvo Ocean Race. The English Newspapers made fun of them before the start as a bunch of Sombrero wearing, Tequila drinking foolish sailors (See the newspaper cartoon depiction linked below). This is a wonderful movie of an underdog team which end up defining the meaning of true grit.
