Randy, Being in the industry, please understand that customer service folks serving marine retail are flat out the next two weeks. My experiences with Defender have always been really good getting someone on the phone who knows what they’re talking about. West Marine? I concur. Absolutely worthless unless you call directly to one of their stores that has a rigging shop inside the store (Newport, Annapolis, St. Pete, Seattle, Newport Beach…and that may be it). Rig Rite is just a joke.. They’re showing that I have had some traveler end block fittings from Kenyon on back order for 2 years. No phone calls, no updates, no ETA. Nothing!
Did you try Annapolis Performance Sailing in Maryland or Downwind Marine in San Diego? Again, a phone call at this time of year will yield better results than having a retailer respond to email inquiries.
