I have used Johnson folder cleats as spring line cleats on my 33-1 for years. However, I was not being satisfied with the fit without some modification. To fill in the space under the outward curl of the toe rail I cut a piece of 1 x 1/8 inch aluminum bar (home depot) with a notch for the bolt. To keep the cleat from rocking fore and aft, I cut another piece slightly less than the ID of the clamp that fits on top of the toe rail between the rubber and the metal top. On a line without an eye loop I put at least two wraps around the base of the cleat before tying the cleat hitch.

Dennis,
I like the Force 4 solution, but at $137.55 US, it's out of my price range.
