The 29-2 I used to work on had a round water heater located to STBD and hear the front of the Yanmar 2GMF15… basically under the sink. Access was pretty good from the inside of the cabin.

The opening is a half inch too narrow (13.5). The opening glass though has plenty to spare, so I'm thinking of just widening it up with a jigsaw or similar. The glass is thick so it doesn't seem like it will cause an integrity issues. It's either that or remove the engine (not happening. I could make the glass thicker in those areas, but I don't think it's necessary. The raritan is actually 14" but it's a cylinder whereas the West Marine is a rectangular box and is only 13.5 at the narrowest. I could minimize the damage by chopping up the Raritan, but what a pain that would be. Thoughts? Eugene Fodor "Hawk" C&C 29 Mark 2
