Ha The Boat went in Friday and we sailed Saturday ! My 1st boat beyond my
smallInvatation on the lake and I LOVE the way she sailed in the sunny 10-12
kt wind. Responsive, nice motion and a joy to sail. Can you tell I am excited ?
S/V Halcyon 1982 C&C 37 Wonderful day in the water UNTIL motoring back to
slip after dropping the sails and overheat alarm sounded ☹ Shut her down threw
out the 140 and with a perfect breeze (at the perfect angle, so someone was
watching out) rounded channel marker harden up and sailed her at the to
within a few ft of the slip! Welcome to sailing !
Time to look at impeller , strainer…. See what’s up. The Yanmar 3HM is
shooting water but seems a bit light
Thanks all !

Edd — nothing to hate here — we’re getting another several inches of snow
today, then again later this week. That’s in Minneapolis; up north on Lake
Superior where the boat lives, I could probably climb up the snowbank to the
deck and not use the ladder… :^(

My marina thinks they’re going to start launching on April 30th. I think
they’re high.

Listers,

Now that April is finally here, I was curious as to what you have planned for
your Spring projects.

On the Enterprise:

1. Remove and service hydraulic autopilot pump
2. Re-vinyl Starfleet markings
3. Service Refrigeration
4. Install new hot water heater
5. Paint bottom

… and if you’re down south somewhere and have been in the water and sailing
already, I hate you.

All the best,

Edd
