I used the 101/102 on my boat.  Although it can be a struggle there are some things that mike it a bit easier to deal with.  the heat gun will help it bend a bit tighter and also help it slide over the fittings.  heat the ends and use the liquid soap and it will slide on fittings pretty easily.  I think the toughest scenario is a tight bend onto a fitting.  I think it is good to have a good 6 to 8 inches of a straight run into a fitting.

beyond that it is pretty straight forward.  you need to be forceful routing it and try not to bend it through any openings too tight.   you'll probably feel that you've had a bit of a workout in the end!  LOL  I know I did!

I researched and researched hoses and the consensus was trident 101/102 for sanitation hose.  I imagine every hose will have pros and cons.  to me, the deciding factors were recommendations from Peggie Hall and Mainesail.

Joel,

You may want to have a look at these two articles:

https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0419/9489/files/PS1312_War_Against_Head_Odors_2_reprint1404_web.pdf

(why it shows up as Shopify, I have no clue, but it is a Practical Sailor’s review of  sanitation hoses and it is a PDF, so you can keep it. They say that Trident 101/102 is not necessarily the best option, though it is the cheapest of the good ones. If you have tight corners, Raritan might be a better option. Keep in mind that this article is a bit dated (Dec 2013).

Glad I asked!  I’ll defer to the collective wisdom and go with the 101/102. I’ll borrow a small angle grinder to speed the process. This is not a job I want to repeat!

The Raritan valve is worth a look too.

This winter I am going to replace the sanitation hose and Y
        valves in both
        heads.

Amazon has a 50 foot roll of 140 series Trident hose for
        $150.  Any reason
this is the wrong hose?  Anyone in Annapolis want to split a
        roll?  (Beats
        10/foot at the local stores)

Looking for recommendations on a Y valve.  The bosworth seems
        like a good
        option.  Anyone use them?
