Classic bad head gasket symptoms.
If it didn't run long on overheat then no big deal.

Oil just changed just after overheated.
4. New heat exchanger just replaced. After overheating, coolant was
full, now empty.
5. When it did start lots of white smoke from exhaust.
6. Was in process of changing fuel filters when I noticed the empty
coolant tank, smoke in coolant tank, and over full oil.
Thinking he needs a new engine, or maybe rebuild this one.
Any advice from the awesome minds on the list is welcome.
