I agree with Dennis....Captain Tolley is a liquid when applied.... where ever water can creep or find its way, so can Capt. Tolley creep.... I guess that is where it gets its full name.

And although it comes in a small bottle, one bottle seems to go a long way....bottom line, the stuff works and can not be any easier to apply.

        Not the way I use it.  I just use it to stop water intrusion
        between the
        toe rail and deck.  It may work on the bolts but I've never
        tried it.
