*Ahoy,* *I am posting this on behalf of our captain who has decided to let go of his 1980 C&C30 MKI. She is a healthy vessel, *
*being actively sailed out of Larchmont, NY.Time is a precious commodity for our captain (he is in his upper 90s, but sails nearly every week). The boat will be up on the market for a short time only: If not being sold until November 1st, she will be donated to a charitable organization.- The solid fiberglass hull is in excellent condition and completely blister free.- The balsa-cored deck is in good condition (some gel-coat crazing; two minor bubbles inside the cabin ceiling from an earlier incident).- The solid lead keel is in very good condition, the bolts are tight, the boat is dry.- Mast, spars, and standing rigging are in excellent condition.- The running rigging is in very good condition (hand-whipped lines!), with plenty of spares.UPDATESThe boat was consistently improved, updated and properly maintained during the last ten years.- Yanmar 2QM15 inboard diesel and all accessories rebuilt in 2014, new mounts.- The topsides were renovated in 2015 from the fiberglass up. 3 layers of Interlux Pre-Kote and primer, 2 layers of Interlux single part polyurethane = high quality paint job and easy maintenance. (got some scratches in 2017 though)- The wooden mast step, a weak design point by default, was replaced with an aluminum mast step in 2010.- The whole rudder system (post, rudder, quadrant and wiring) was replaced in 2010.- New Harken roller furler Unit-1.- Bigger primary winches (Barient 27 two-speed self-tailers) up from Enkes 24 AR.- New diesel tank (XLPE/nylon )in 2013.- Marine toilet new in 2012- Teak hand rails on deck new in 2012.* and there is more...
