IMHO gels are superior to AGM if you have the correct charging systems for them. If you do go AGM, *by far* the cheapest way is getting GRP 31 AGMs from Sam's Club. They are relabeled Dekas and thus identical to West Marine AGMs for literally half the price. Lifeline will be a LOT more money and unless you are really on top of the special AGM requirements, won't last very long anyway.
