If you're pulling the prop shaft it's fairly easy. Hack saw through the brass liner then bend it in and peel it away from strut. Strut pros work perfectly on brand new struts and cutlass bearings. Watch the video. Otherwise they are finicky. But work. They need to be perfectly seated to work smoothly. Jp
