Thanks for all the input everyone.  Dennis, I'll give you a call in a couple of 
weeks, I was planning on sailing out to Mandeville at around the same time 
you're getting back from skiing, the weekend of Feb 18th.  We can take a look 
then.  I'm debating on rebuilding, but it's going to require all new hardware, 
a new frame, and new lexan/plexi.  It'll still cheaper than a new hatch, 
especially  since it's not a standard sized opening.

To answer one of the earlier questions, it appears to be original hatches on 
Tango.  White fiberglass panel on top, teak frame edges that fit over an inner 
teak frame that's attached to the deck.  two hinges are fastened to the deck.  
Inside frame holds the sliding screw stop hardware for keeping the hatch open, 
and it's reversible (opens facing either bow or stern).  Well, at least the one 
in the man cabin is reversible, I don't know about the one I'm replacing since 
it was blown off of the deck in a hurricane and replaced by a shoddy makeshift 
cover.
