I agree that the Max-Prop is considerably more expensive.  The PO
improperly adjusted mine.  But that improper adjustment could have just as
easily been an improper selection of pitch on a fixed pitch prop.  Then I
would have had no choice but to replace it.  Being adjustable I was able to
correct the problem.  I have it squared away now.

As for gear ratios and transmissions the adjustability is also super
versatile for anyone who might see a repower in their future.
