Hey guys. I could use some advice. I was heading back to the marina today and noticed the exhaust from the raw water had mostly steam. Engine is a yanmar 3 HM. 30 adapted with a closed system.
The raw water strainer sucked in a major gob of seaweed. I thought that was the issue. Removed the hose from the water pump and connected another hose and when the engine is running sucks the water out of the bowl but not when attached to the strainer. Would that sound as though there is another blockage along the inlet hose? Any advice or suggestions. It would be much appreciated.
