Touche' 35-1 #83 Mandeville, LA Why did you remove the gelcoat to put on a barrier coat? I thought the idea was to prevent gelcoat blisters, not to act as a gelcoat replacement. The PO stripped off the gelcoat on my 36 and it is now an awful mess. There are big chunks coming off all over the place, both on the lead of the keel, and on the fiberglass of the hull and rudder. The white interprotect is coming off with a thin grey layer next to the hull, and carries a perfect impression of the glass fibre underneath. There is also a fine sparkle to the surface as if the underlying surface had been sandblasted, I don't see any good way to fix it now, and I don't understand why anyone would do that in the first place.
