As a regulatory manager for a Fortune 100 company, I was in a job the company didn't even want on their payroll. When I got all the permits to build a $200M expansion in record, never before heard of, time, I never even got a thank you from the business leaders. Fine, screw 'em. In my first year working on boats for people, I got more thanks and appreciation from boat owners than in all my 30 years in the corporate world. The appreciation I received from fellow boaters was awesome. So, as we discuss sail lofts with much or little customer focus, be sure to express your appreciation to the guys like Fred, etc. that provide exceptional service. Dennis C. Former boat repair guy
