Not sure how your email system works but some, notably gmail, will include part of the original thread if you highlight it.
For instance, see the text below. I highlighted about 2/3 of your original post and then hit "Reply". Gmail inserted the highlighted portion in my reply. It ignored the rest. Dennis C.
